Refund policy

Returns & Refund Policy

How eligible certified loose lab-grown diamond returns are reviewed, authorized, shipped back, inspected, and refunded.

Last updated: June 2026

LabCreated.Diamonds wants buyers to understand the return process before ordering a certified loose lab-grown diamond. Loose diamonds are high-value items, so returns must follow a secure, documented, insured process from start to finish.

This policy explains return eligibility, return timing, required condition, authorization, insured return shipping, inspection, refund timing, and situations where a return may be refused.

If you have questions before placing an order, contact us before checkout. It is better to ask before ordering than to feel uncertain after delivery.

Return Window

Eligible unaltered loose lab-grown diamonds may be returned if the approved returned diamond is received back by LabCreated.Diamonds within 21 days of the customer’s delivery date.

Because the return must be received within the 21-day window, buyers should contact us promptly if they want to request a return.

Late returns may be refused. Do not wait until the end of the return period to request authorization, because insured return shipping and inspection handling take time.

What Items Are Eligible for Return?

Eligible returns are limited to unaltered, unused loose lab-grown diamonds that meet all return requirements in this policy.

The diamond must be returned in the same condition it was delivered, with the original packaging and the original IGI or GIA grading report included.

Returns must be authorized before shipment and must use the approved insured UPS return label provided through the return process.

Required Return Condition

To qualify for return review, the loose lab-grown diamond must be:

  • Unaltered
  • Unused
  • Undamaged after delivery
  • Returned with the original packaging
  • Returned with the original IGI or GIA grading report
  • Returned using the approved insured UPS return label
  • Received back within the required return window

If any required item is missing, altered, damaged, late, or not returned through the approved process, the return may be refused.

How to Start a Return

To request a return, email contact@labcreated.diamonds with your order number and the reason for the return request.

Do not ship a diamond back without return authorization and instructions. Unauthorized returns may be refused and may not be eligible for refund.

After review, if the return is approved, we will provide return instructions and an approved insured UPS return label.

Do Not Use Your Own Return Label

Authorized returns must use the approved insured UPS return label provided through the return process.

Do not use your own label, uninsured shipping, standard mail, a third-party shipping account, a P.O. Box return method, or any carrier not approved through the return process.

Loose lab-grown diamonds are high-value items. The approved insured return label helps protect the buyer, the diamond, the shipment, and the return review process.

Who Pays for Return Shipping?

The buyer is responsible for return shipping on approved returns.

For security and insurance reasons, authorized returns must use the approved insured UPS return label provided through the return process.

The cost of the approved insured return label is deducted from the refund amount. Original shipping, insurance, and handling costs are non-refundable where applicable under this policy.

Return Packaging Requirements

Return packaging must protect the loose lab-grown diamond, the grading report, and all required return materials during insured transit.

Use the return instructions provided with your return authorization. Do not send the diamond loose in an envelope or in packaging that may shift, tear, crush, or expose the contents.

Keep all return tracking information, shipment receipts, packaging photos, and communication until the return is fully resolved.

Inspection After Return

Every returned loose lab-grown diamond is inspected after it is received.

Inspection may include checking the diamond, grading report, packaging, laser inscription when applicable, condition, documentation, order match, and return timing.

The return is not approved for refund until the returned diamond passes inspection and all policy requirements are confirmed.

Refund Timing

After the returned diamond is received, inspected, and approved, eligible refunds are generally issued within 2–3 business days to the original form of payment.

After a refund is issued, the time it takes to appear on your account may depend on your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or processor.

Refunds are issued only after the return is received and approved. A return request alone does not create an immediate refund.

Refund Amount

Approved refunds are issued for the eligible refundable amount after applicable deductions.

The approved insured return label cost is deducted from the refund amount because the buyer is responsible for return shipping.

Original shipping, insurance, handling, payment processing, or exception-related costs may be non-refundable where applicable under this policy.

When a Return May Be Refused

A return may be refused if the diamond or return does not meet policy requirements.

Examples include:

  • The diamond is received after the return window.
  • The diamond was altered after delivery.
  • The diamond was damaged after delivery.
  • The original IGI or GIA grading report is missing.
  • The original packaging is missing.
  • The return was shipped without authorization.
  • The approved insured UPS return label was not used.
  • The returned item does not match the original order.
  • The shipment was rerouted, mishandled, or sent through an unapproved return method.
  • The return appears fraudulent, incomplete, or inconsistent with the original order records.

If a return is refused, we will contact you with the next steps based on the situation.

Non-Returnable Items and Situations

The following are not eligible for standard return:

  • Loose lab-grown diamonds damaged after delivery
  • Loose lab-grown diamonds altered after delivery
  • Loose lab-grown diamonds missing the original IGI or GIA grading report
  • Returns received after the return window
  • Returns sent without authorization
  • Returns sent without the approved insured UPS return label
  • Returns that fail inspection
  • Orders or returns involving suspected fraud, abuse, or policy misuse

This policy is designed to protect honest buyers and prevent return fraud on high-value loose diamond shipments.

Damaged, Missing, or Delivery-Concern Shipments

If your shipment appears damaged, missing, delayed, misdelivered, or tampered with, contact LabCreated.Diamonds promptly.

Do not discard packaging, labels, delivery notices, photos, tracking records, or shipment materials. These may be needed for carrier, insurance, or order review.

Delivery concerns must follow the approved carrier and insurance process. Do not attempt unauthorized reroutes, informal pickup changes, or third-party delivery arrangements.

Order Cancellations Before Shipment

An order may be canceled before shipment if it does not pass order verification, if payment authorization cannot be confirmed, if the selected diamond becomes unavailable, if shipment requirements cannot be met, or if fraud-screening concerns cannot be resolved.

If an order is canceled before fulfillment, the payment authorization may be voided or refunded depending on payment status and processor timing.

If the selected diamond becomes unavailable before shipment, we may contact you with available options, which may include a comparable replacement option or a refund.

Exchanges and Replacement Options

LabCreated.Diamonds does not guarantee exchanges because loose diamond inventory changes and each diamond is individually graded.

If a selected diamond becomes unavailable before shipment, or if a return-related issue requires review, we may offer a comparable replacement option when available.

The buyer is never required to accept a replacement option. If no suitable option is chosen and the order qualifies for refund, the refund will be handled according to the applicable policy.

Warranty and Authenticity

LabCreated.Diamonds provides authenticity support for certified loose lab-grown diamonds sold through our website. Each eligible loose lab-grown diamond is supported by its IGI or GIA grading information.

Any limited warranty or authenticity review does not replace personal insurance and does not cover loss, theft, misuse, abuse, post-delivery damage, unauthorized alteration, or normal wear.

Buyers should keep the grading report, packaging, order records, and delivery documentation after purchase.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a problem with an order, contact LabCreated.Diamonds first so we can review the issue through the correct order, shipping, return, or refund process.

Unauthorized chargebacks, false claims, delivery disputes, return abuse, or fraudulent payment disputes may be reviewed under the Chargeback Protection Policy.

Clear communication helps resolve legitimate issues faster and protects honest buyers from fraud-related delays.

How to Avoid Return Problems

Before ordering and during any return request, use this checklist:

  • Review the diamond details carefully before checkout.
  • Keep the original packaging after delivery.
  • Keep the original IGI or GIA grading report.
  • Inspect the diamond promptly after delivery.
  • Contact us quickly if you want to request a return.
  • Do not ship anything back without authorization.
  • Use only the approved insured UPS return label.
  • Keep all tracking and return communication.
  • Make sure the approved return is received within the required window.

Questions Before Returning

If you are unsure whether your order is eligible for return, email contact@labcreated.diamonds before shipping anything back.

Include your order number and a clear description of your question.

For a high-value loose lab-grown diamond return, it is better to confirm the correct process before shipping than to risk an unauthorized, uninsured, late, or refused return.
